Our First Game Is THREE Days Away!
History begins THIS SUNDAY at Dilboy Stadium as Somerville United FC takes on Fitchburg FC at 1:30 p.m for our inaugural match.
With a team built by Somerville for Somerville, we want the whole community there to cheer on our team. Bring your family, friends, neighbors and anyone else you know for this game. After all, there is only ONE inaugural match.
Entry will be FREE, but reserve a ticket in advance to help us plan for the best experience. Donations will be accepted at the game!
A special pregame ceremony will begin at 1:30, featuring Somerville Youth Soccer, a welcome speech from Somerville mayor Jake Wilson and more! The national anthem will be sung by Alesandra Onjiko, the executive director and co-founder of the organization (who is also a professional singer!).
The community-building doesn’t stop there. Join us for an afterparty at Winter Hill Brewing at 4:30 until 8 p.m. Everyone who purchased a membership package will receive 10% off their total!

Volunteer Feature - Oliver Judd

Oliver Judd’s interest in soccer started before he could even remember: His dad would sit him down in front of Arsenal games when he was just a baby. Since then soccer has become a huge part of his life.
“I was kind of just forced into that lifestyle, but I ended up loving it,” Judd said. “The only time I missed a game was during COVID. That was it. I've never missed an Arsenal game. I've never missed a Premier League game. I love soccer so much.”
As a recent marketing major from Syracuse University, Judd saw Somerville United, where he now serves as the marketing lead, as the perfect opportunity to get hands-on career experience and combine it with something he is extremely passionate about.
“The ability to work alongside these experienced staff and understand how a sporting environment operates when I'm so new helps me guide my passion towards a more focused result,” Judd said.
Judd believes this team is going to have a “tremendous impact” on the community.
“Our impact is going to be beyond just bringing people to games,” Judd said. “We're going to be showing up at community events and really working for the city, being people for the city, not just a team. We're going to market ourselves, of course, but we're also going to show the people of Somerville that we want to be more than a team. We want to be part of the community.”
